I‘ve been really busy since…a while. Haven’t really had time to sit and write here but I’ve been thinking about it. Since October, we went home for Thanksgiving, home for Christmas, got engaged and I’m now a week away from getting out of the military! Everything’s been really exciting but I have a million things on my to-do list, there’s not enough time to get around everything or feel things are getting accomplished.
Thanksgiving was great, we went to California and spent about a week there. I was hoping for nice warm weather but it was pretty chilly. Enjoyed some really good wine, family dinners, watched old videos, photos, and just relaxed! It was great but really hard to come home and be patient to go back soon.
The Christmas brake was nice too but a little more busy and tiring. We spent some time with my family and had a nice time at the beach…in December!!! yes, that was great, it had been a while since I went to the beach, especially during winter. Nice break from the cold. I really enjoy that time of year with my family and it’s going to be really difficult to not be part of it every year with us moving to California. Anyway, seems though this year I was ready to come home earlier than ever. I felt rushed ALL the time! geez. It was like people couldn’t just sit and talk and just relax without having to be in a hurry or running around, I don’t know if that’s just Miami, my family or everybody at this time. Just wanted some peace & quiet at times.
So as of Dec 28th, we’re engaged!!! It was the best surprise, I was not expecting that to happen before the year was over. He surprised me after we opened our Christmas presents, went to the car to get my roses and after some thank yous, hugs and kisses he proposed, but not without me running around the kitchen screaming and jumping and crying…Long story short, I said hell yes, and we celebrated. We called our families and told the whole story.
This year so far has been more than busy. From planning the wedding which is literally an endless process probably until the day of, to working on photos and belly cast, organizing and trying to find a way to make money and get rid of stuff. It’s one thing after another, I wish sometimes we didn’t have to sleep to get more stuff done but from experience, staying up for days doesn’t really make you much more productive, it just makes you laugh and giggle for no reason.
Now, I have this week to get all done to finish my contract and half of next week and I’ll be freeeeeeeee! and with definitely more time to finish some projects.
