They say couples that do such things are happier. Now, I don’t know if that’s true but it certainly feels nice to take walks with the husband, especially on a beautiful day, when the sun is shining and the birds are singing and the groundhogs are popping out. We’ve been enjoying the past week’s beautiful weather by taking walks. We made it a point to do this more often, it is unbelievably satisfying, not because it’s exercise or because you’re spending time together, although that’s just as important, but to me, it opens my mind. I suddenly feel vibrant and usually filled with inspiration my mind can hardly breath.
The park behind us is quite enjoyable. There’s tons of space to walk, run, bicycle and take your dog to the “doggie” park. First thing you’ll come across is the lake with a buncha ducks and geese. They are SO funny, they really don’t get old. I recorded a video a few weeks back, I gotta post it. They make the funniest noises and they don’t move, well, usually as you pass by. Terribly adorable. When they get going though…we can heard them all the way to our house. Loud, those guys are.
There are awesome views of the city and the hills are just gorgeous, especially right now, very green, very soft (soft-looking). Yesterday, as we were walking down the hill, Ryan’s spotted the cutest groundhog…I don’t think I’ve ever seen one up close. It was so tiny and very hungry. We stood right in front of it and it didn’t care, it kept staring us back, grabbing weeds and going back in the hole. Eventually he didn’t come back up. I wished I had my camera. Lesson learned.
So I took a few and I need to take more on our next walk cause it’s just lovely. Enjoy.

Nice. Nothing better than to be able to enjoy beautiful nature with the one you love. You know, ducks are monogamous. Interesting fact. You are so fortunate to have that beautiful area to enjoy right outside your door.
PS I love the re-do on your site. It’s really nice.
