Alaska Trip – Goodbye Alaska!

That boat bookshelf

What a wonderful time we had. I’m so glad we went, even though Alaska was never in my priority list of places to visit, now, I feel like it should be in everyone’s list. It was very tiring with all the driving but worth it. Each day was different. More sunshine, less sunshine, rain, cloudy, windy, cold, warm, etc. All the places we visited had so much charm. My favorite part was seeing how Alaskans support themselves through their art and music, and how “local” is huge. I love seeing new art in every coffee shop or restaurant we went to. I loved going to the small shops where everything was handmade by local artists. One of my favorite was “Dos Manos”. Super cute hip place with mostly local artists’ stuff.

Esme warmed my heart.

Cameron got a new redesigned/redecorated house and bedroom and bought the coolest bookshelf or whatever it could be (piece of furniture) from the coolest mermaid shop – Mermaid Imports. I was jealous, I wanted one for myself. You’ll see what I’m talking about in the pictures when you see an upright boat looking bookshelf. Coolest piece of furniture ever. Cam you better save me that pyramid (consider it your payment for my hard work) ;) j/k.

We ate went to Moose’s Tooth and Bear’s Tooth. Moose’s Tooth is infamous for its pizza. It was quite delicious, I must say. I had a wild mushrooms pizza and it was soooooooo good. At Bear’s Tooth, you can watch a movie and order food and beer. Best movie theater I’ve ever been to. They show independent movies and movies that are out on theaters as well. AND, the best part is that it’s only $3!!! And the food is amazing, especially the nachos…mmm – mmm—good! If you’re ever in Anchorage, you can’t miss these places!

So I hope you enjoyed the photos, it was a little confusing recalling our days, they all seemed to have meshed together. We are still recovering from our late nights and late mornings, so our bodies are still wanting to sleep at 2am rather than 11pm. And although it felt like I gained like 20lbs while I was there, thankfully, I didn’t gain a pound, I don’t know how that was even possible. We ate out almost every single day and mostly terrible meals.

Now we’re back home, recovering, getting our bodies back to gear, exercise, detox, hydration and rest.

Thanks for reading and checking out the pictures. Keep visiting from time to time :)

Enjoy the last pictures of our trip – Our return flight home.
