This was actually a pretty fun experiment. Here are the rules:
NO PHOTOSHOP USE – Only tools found in an analog darkroom can be used. (burn, dodge, crop, exposure, etc)
3 DIFFERENT EFFECTS – They have to be very different from each other, so you cannot use the same type of object (white glass and green glass)
3 OBJECTS – Cannot be too abstract so you know what it is and how the effect applies.
My objects were: Piano, African wooden statue, rose.
My effects were: Colorful sari (sheet that middle eastern i.e., Indian women use to cover themselves), winkled packaging plastic bag, and glass orange votive holder.
I just held objects in front of the lens, usually with a tripod in use for most shots and that was that. My favorite was the glass votive holder and the plastic bag, cause I love how the bag gave the light a diffused effect and I loooove how the rose came out. I like how the glass distorted. My teacher particularly loved the rose with the glass votive :) I’m excited to try other things.
GRADE: A!!!!
