Baked Blackened Catfish Recipe

We love catfish but we only eat it once in a while, one: to not get tired of it and two: because it’s farmed. I normally pan fry it (not deep fried) but I decided to try it a different way and it was SUCCESS! So, here it is. I’ll post the pan fried version on another post.

INGREDIENTS
Catfish fillets
Old Bay Seasoning
Black Pepper
1 Clove of garlic
1 tsp Cayenne
1 Lime
Oregano
2 tbs Olive oil

DIRECTIONS

Marinade fish – Add lime, garlic, and all spices on top. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On a baking sheet, pour the olive oil and spread it with a brush (or your fingers like I did). This is just so the fish doesn’t stick. Add fish to pan and bake for 30 minutes or until fully cooked. Don’t over cook it, keep it moist.

Ta-da! Done.

I accompanied the fish with salad, green beans and a little rice.
