The Summer semester has come to an end, and I’m REALLY happy about it. Now we can have some fun and RELAX!…at least for another 2 weeks. Yay for us! It’s nice to not have any deadlines for a little while. I’m very happy we both did really good this past semester too. It was challenging but it we sucked up some really good information. I feel my passion for photography has grown, as well as my respect for professional photographers. For web design as well, leaving me with a conflict in my mind. We’ll see how that goes…So, take a drink for me, 3 semesters down…a lot more to go.
I’ve posted most of my photography assignments but I didn’t post my wed design one cause it was an on-going process. The first assignment was to design a web site for a World Cup team. We drew from a hat and I ended up with Mexico (go figure, not I am not Mexican but I was the only Hispanic in the class). I really wanted Brazil. The goal was to make it simple and easy to navigate, have a good design and make 3 pages: main page (home page), squad list page, and a photo gallery page. So here’s my design for Mexico FIFA Team. By the way, the Mexican flag is the only image I did NOT create. I grabbed that from the ‘net. Everything else is mine.

BARBARY COAST TRAIL WEBSITE – RECREATION
For the second website, we had to re-create the Barbary Coast Trail website. It needed to have every piece of information listed within the site. That was pretty much the only requirement…as well as two extra pages that are photo galleries, which ever type of gallery. I chose a jQuery gallery and my design to be pretty simple and concise. I didn’t want any distractions. I created all the images and the design to be a little grungy and old-looking since it’s a historical tour. Check out the original website. There were a few people from the class that did really really really good. I wanted to get a little more creative but I didn’t take the time to do that and figure more stuff out. Next time perhaps.
